Program names and qualifications

Executive Career Programs are continuing education programs of GAT. The GAT xMBA and the GAT EMBA are certificates of completion awarded by GAT. They are not federally recognised university degrees. The personal certifications AI Business Professional, AI Business Board Professional and AI Business Expert are awarded by the Swiss Association for Quality (SAQ) according to its own rules. The Swiss federal diploma AI Business Specialist is granted by the federal government after passing the professional examination conducted by ICT-Berufsbildung Schweiz.

General Terms and Conditions

Version of 28 October 2026. Replaces the version of 28 October 2026.

1. Provider and scope

The provider is Graduate School of Applied Technology & Management GmbH, Launchspace Zürich, Albulastrasse 55, 8048 Zurich (hereinafter “GAT”). These terms apply to all GAT offerings, in particular Executive Career Programs, Executive Career Compacts (AI Loop subscription, AI & Career Workshops and Self-Learnings), Executive Study Tours, assessments, the AI Business Expert Directory, downloads and free events such as info sessions (together “GAT offerings”).

Deviating terms of participants or their employers apply only if GAT accepts them in writing.

From 2027, GAT offers all paid programs itself. Registration, contract and invoicing are handled by GAT. The Innovationsverband Schweizer Arbeitsmarkt (ISA) co-designs individual programs but does not act as provider.

Bookings or referrals for the xMBA * AI-Powered Career Bootcamp remain valid in 2027 and are fully covered by the successor program xMBA Executive Training: AI Business Fluency.

2. Registration and conclusion of contract

Registration is made via a GAT registration form or by email. It constitutes a binding offer. The contract is concluded upon GAT’s written or electronic confirmation of admission. By submitting your registration, you confirm that you have read these terms and the privacy policy and you accept them.

If your employer registers you or covers the costs, you remain responsible for payment if the employer does not pay on time, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Being placed on a waiting list is non-binding. It establishes neither a contract nor a right to a place.

Under Swiss law there is no statutory right of withdrawal for contracts concluded online or by email. Section 10 applies to cancellations.

3. Target group and prerequisites

GAT offerings are aimed at management, leaders and senior professionals from companies, SMEs, startups and public administration, as well as the self-employed. For Executive Career Programs, we require a completed university or university of applied sciences degree or a completed vocational qualification, and as a rule at least five years of professional experience. AI Business Fluency for Boards is aimed at current and prospective members of boards of directors, foundation boards and advisory boards. The admission requirements for the federal professional examination are set by the examining body. You are responsible for checking them yourself.

For cohorts of the xMBA * AI-Powered Career Bootcamp conducted jointly with ISA until the end of 2026, the following also applies: career coaches, AI consultants as well as providers and employees of training and educational institutions are excluded. In the event of false information, GAT may terminate the contract without notice. Fees already paid will be refunded less a processing fee of CHF 500.

From 2027, the following applies to all GAT offerings: we ask career coaches, AI consultants as well as providers and employees of training and educational institutions to contact us before registering. Participation by these persons always requires the prior consent of GAT’s management. There is no right to admission.

4. Admission

The program management decides on admission and informs you of the decision in writing or electronically. It may reject a registration without giving reasons. If you are not admitted, no contract is concluded and any amounts already paid are refunded in full.

5. Levels, assessment and qualifications

5.1 Levels. The Executive Career Programs are structured in two levels. Level 1 comprises the xMBA Executive Trainings, Level 2 the EMBA Executive Training: AI Business Leadership.

5.2 Access to Level 2. Access to Level 2 requires completion of Level 1. If you have already acquired proven and comprehensive AI Business Fluency, please get in touch with us. Review and admission as an exception is only possible in justified individual cases. There is no right to admission.

5.3 GAT qualifications. Anyone who successfully completes an xMBA Executive Training receives the GAT xMBA. The GAT EMBA is awarded to anyone who has completed the GAT xMBA and the EMBA Executive Training: AI Business Leadership and has passed the Decision Arena. Anyone who completes Level 2 without an xMBA does not receive a GAT EMBA.

5.4 SAQ personal certifications. Personal certifications are awarded by the Swiss Association for Quality (SAQ) according to its own rules. GAT prepares you for them but does not decide on their award and gives no warranty that you will pass. SAQ fees are included in the program fee only if the offering description expressly provides for this.

6. Delivery

6.1 Program changes. GAT may change, adapt, shorten or extend the content, structure, sequence and duration of individual units, dates, venue and format (on site, online or hybrid) as well as the deployment of faculty members and guests at any time and without prior notice if course needs or technological developments so require. This does not give rise to any claim for price reduction, withdrawal or damages as long as the learning objective of the offering can be achieved.

6.2 Suitability evaluation. During the first two course days, the course management assesses willingness to participate, prerequisites, ability to work in a team, learning and performance capacity in the format, and commitment. The assessment is at its dutiful discretion and is communicated to you in writing if required. If suitability is lacking, the course management may end your participation and terminate the contract. In that case a flat fee of CHF 1'000 is charged for administration and the first two course days. Any further claims are excluded.

6.3 Course platform and technology. To participate, you need your own internet access and a suitable device. You may not share your login details.

6.4 Attendance. To complete the program, you attend at least 80 % of the teaching days. No fee reductions are granted for holidays, illness or exemptions, subject to section 10.5. In the event of non-participation or early termination, there is no right to a refund or certificate.

6.5 Confidentiality and AI tools. You treat what Fellows in the cohort share about themselves, their employers and their cases as confidential. You are yourself responsible for the information you bring into courses, cases and AI tools, including those of GAT. In particular, you do not enter any confidential information or trade secrets of your employer, nor any third-party personal data for which you have no authorisation. If third parties assert claims against GAT as a result, you indemnify GAT against them.

6.6 Photos and videos. GAT takes photos and videos on course days and at events. GAT may use recordings in which you are recognisable for documentation and for GAT’s communication, for example on the website, on social media and in brochures. If you do not wish to be shown, tell the course management on site or write to us at team [at] swiss-gat.ch. We will respect your objection for all future uses and remove recordings from our own channels as far as this is reasonable for us.

7. Copyright and work results

Teaching material, documents, program descriptions and the trademarks GAT, xMBA, PiR, ATLASS, AIBS and other trademarks used by GAT or its partners are protected by copyright and trademark law. Use, reproduction or disclosure outside the learning environment is only permitted with GAT’s written consent. Audio and video recordings of course days by participants are not permitted without the consent of the course management.

The rights to results from group work, simulations and collaborative formats, in particular copyright, design, patent and trademark rights, belong to GAT unless otherwise agreed in writing. Individual work remains yours. GAT receives a free, non-exclusive and perpetual right to use it for quality assurance, further development and anonymised documentation.

8. Prices and payment

8.1 Payment. The price stated in the confirmation of admission is decisive. The fee is payable upon booking or within 14 days of invoicing and must be received no later than 14 days before the start of the course. As long as amounts due remain outstanding, GAT may refuse access to course days and to the course platform. Agreed instalments remain owed even in the event of cancellation, up to the amount of the fee under section 10. In the event of default, GAT may declare the remaining amount immediately due. We charge CHF 30 per reminder plus default interest of 5 % per year.

8.2 Introductory, alumni and partner price. For the Executive Career Programs, GAT states the introductory, alumni and partner price. The price in the offering description at the time of registration is decisive. GAT sets its prices and conditions freely and may change them for future registrations at any time. For confirmed registrations, the confirmed price applies. The 2027 introductory price applies to registrations until 31 July 2027. Alumni are those who have completed a GAT xMBA or EMBA. Workshops, Self-Learnings and other Compacts do not confer alumni status.

The alumni and partner price is granted and borne by GAT alone, at its own discretion and at its own expense. It is neither a scholarship nor a subsidy. Partner organisations make no payments, contributions or rebates for it, neither to GAT nor to participants. There is no legal entitlement to a particular price or to admission.

8.3 Prices of the Compacts. AI & Career Workshops are offered at the introductory, alumni and partner price stated in the offering description. For the AI Loop subscription, there is an alumni price and a price for everyone else. You state your eligibility for the alumni price when registering; GAT may request proof. In the event of false or incomplete information, GAT may invoice the difference to the price for everyone else retrospectively.

8.4 Federal contribution. The federal contribution for courses preparing for federal examinations is paid by the federal government in accordance with federal law, not by GAT. Among other things, it requires that the course is listed on the SERI reporting list and that you sit the examination. GAT gives no warranty as to payment or amount. The program fee is owed regardless.

8.5 VAT and additional costs. All prices are in CHF. Educational services are exempt from VAT under Art. 21 para. 2 no. 11 VAT Act (MWSTG). You bear the costs of travel, accommodation, meals (including networking lunches), literature, devices and licences for apps and tools yourself, unless they are expressly included. The federal examination fee and the Smartlearn test access, including its organisation with ICT-Berufsbildung Schweiz, are not included.

8.6 Self-Learning Deep Dive: Swiss Federal Diploma “AI Business Specialist”. The Self-Learning Deep Dive: Swiss Federal Diploma “AI Business Specialist” is included in AI Business Fluency and AI Business Fluency and Entrepreneurship. For AI Business Fluency for Boards and outside a programme, it can be booked separately on request for CHF 2'990. The federal examination fee and the Smartlearn test access, including its organisation with ICT-Berufsbildung Schweiz, are not included. Personal guidance as well as content and technical support are not included.

9. Cancellation and postponement by GAT

GAT may cancel or postpone an offering if the minimum number of participants is not reached (decision no later than 14 days before the start), in cases of force majeure or in the event of unforeseen unavailability of faculty members. In the event of cancellation, you receive all payments back in full within 14 working days. In the event of postponement, you may withdraw free of charge or rebook within 14 days of the announcement. Further claims, in particular for reimbursement of travel or accommodation costs, are excluded.

10. Cancellation by participants

Cancellations must be made in writing by email to team [at] swiss-gat.ch. The date of receipt by GAT is decisive. The cancellation takes effect upon our confirmation.

10.1 Executive Career Programs.

Time of cancellationFee
more than 30 days before the start of the coursefree of charge
from 30 days before the start of the course, after the start of the course or in the event of no-show100 % of the program fee

10.2 Workshops.

Time of cancellationFee
15 days or more before the startfree of charge
7 to 14 days before the start50 %
from 6 days before the start or in the event of no-show100 %

10.3 Self-Learnings. You can cancel Self-Learnings free of charge until access is activated. After that, the full fee is owed. Evaluations and exam simulations take place on fixed dates. Missed dates are forfeited.

10.4 Rebooking. Up to 15 days before the start of the course, you can rebook once free of charge to a course start within twelve months.

10.5 Illness, accident or bereavement. With a medical certificate submitted within seven calendar days of the start of the course, you can rebook once free of charge to a course start within twelve months. No refund is made.

10.6 Funding through unemployment insurance. The same deadlines generally apply. Different arrangements for larger booking contingents can be agreed individually with GAT. In any case, a free cancellation of a cantonal decision requires that the competent authority revokes its decision and that the revocation reaches GAT no later than ten days before the start of the course, by Friday, 12:00. Your own notification alone is not sufficient, as it has no effect on the decision. After that, the fees under section 10.1 apply. In the event of early discontinuation, GAT informs the competent authority in accordance with the legal requirements. Early discontinuation does not lead to a refund.

10.7 Refund and discontinuation. Refunds are made within 14 working days to the original means of payment. If you discontinue a program for reasons for which GAT is not responsible, for example because you start a new job, there is no right to a pro rata refund.

10.8 Free events. No fee is charged for info sessions and other free events. Please cancel up to 24 hours before the start if you cannot attend. Anyone who fails to attend without cancelling may be placed on a waiting list for future events.

11. AI Loop subscription

The AI Loop subscription costs CHF 990 per year for alumni and CHF 1'900 per year for everyone else, including partner organisations and their members. It comprises the services listed in the offering description, currently the Weekly Tech Update, full access to the AI Tool Navigator and four update workshops per year (two on site, two online). The term is twelve months from activation; the price is due at the start. The subscription ends automatically and is only renewed at your request. Services not used are forfeited at the end of the term. GAT may replace individual services with equivalent ones. Login details are personal and may not be shared.

12. Executive Study Tours

Executive Study Tours are advertised separately. The service description and the special conditions of the respective announcement apply, in particular regarding program, price, third-party services, cancellation and insurance. Travel services are provided by an external tour operator under its own terms. You are yourself responsible for travel documents, entry and health requirements.

13. Global Chapters

The Global Chapters are networking activities of GAT and its alumni. Chapter Leads are local contact persons and cannot bind GAT contractually. Enquiries and conclusions of contracts are handled exclusively via team [at] swiss-gat.ch.

14. AI Business Expert Directory

The directory includes persons holding the SAQ personal certification AI Business Expert. You apply for an entry via the form on the website; it is only published with your express consent. The entry is free of charge for GAT alumni and subject to a fee for everyone else in accordance with the offering. GAT decides on inclusion and may reject or remove entries without giving reasons. Contracts for mandates, projects or employment are concluded exclusively between the parties involved. GAT is not liable for services or statements of the persons listed. You can have entries removed at any time by email. Data from the directory may not be used for advertising or mass outreach.

15. Liability and insurance

15.1 Content. The content of GAT offerings serves educational and informational purposes. It does not constitute legal, tax, financial or other professional advice, nor do the outputs of AI tools such as the AI Leader Companion or the AI Business Coaching. AI outputs may contain errors. You are yourself responsible for applying what you have learned. External speakers and partner organisations are themselves responsible for their statements and content.

15.2 Scope. GAT is liable only for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence. Liability for slight negligence, for auxiliary persons, for indirect and consequential damage and for loss of profit is excluded. In any case, liability is limited to the fee of the offering concerned. These limitations apply to the extent permitted by law.

15.3 Insurance. GAT does not insure participants. You are yourself responsible for accident, health and liability insurance. GAT accepts no liability for items brought along.

16. Exclusion

GAT may exclude participants in the event of breaches of these terms or the conditions of participation, irregular participation, attendance of less than 80 %, significant disruption of the course or inappropriate behaviour. Reasons for the exclusion are given in writing. There is no right to a refund.

17. Communication and consent to be contacted

17.1 Contract communication. For registration, organisation and delivery, GAT contacts you by email, telephone, via the campus and in cohort groups, for example via WhatsApp. Binding declarations such as registration, cancellation or termination are made by email to team [at] swiss-gat.ch.

17.2 Customers. If you book a GAT offering, we will inform you by email about similar offerings, events and news from GAT. When you register and in every such message, we point out that you can decline this at any time.

17.3 Consent. If you register for an info session, an event or a waiting list, download a document such as a brochure or a funding guide, or send us an enquiry and consent to being contacted, GAT may inform you by email about programmes, info sessions, events, funding options and news from GAT. If you have given us a telephone number and consented to this, we may also contact you by phone or messenger to answer your questions and advise you.

17.4 Personal follow-up. After an enquiry, a registration or a download, we will also get in touch with you personally to clarify any open questions about the offering you selected.

17.5 Opting out. You can decline information and calls and withdraw your consent at any time, with a short reply to our email or a message to team [at] swiss-gat.ch. Contractual communication under section 17.1 remains unaffected.

17.6 Community. The WhatsApp group “Swiss Career & Tech News” is free of charge and voluntary. There is no entitlement to any content.

18. Data protection

How we process personal data is governed by GAT’s privacy policy. It forms part of these terms.

19. Changes to the terms

GAT may amend these terms. New registrations are subject to the version published at the time of registration. Confirmed registrations remain, in principle, subject to the version in force at the time of the admission confirmation. If GAT exceptionally amends the terms with effect for confirmed registrations, it will notify you in writing or electronically at least 30 days in advance. If this materially worsens your legal position, you may withdraw from the contract in writing within 14 days of the notification and will be refunded any payments already made for services not yet provided. If you do not withdraw, the new version is deemed accepted.

20. Final provisions

Oral side agreements are valid only if GAT confirms them in writing; email is sufficient. These terms supersede all previous versions. If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain valid; it shall be replaced by a valid provision that comes closest to its economic purpose. In the event of discrepancies between language versions, the German version prevails.

These terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict of laws rules and the Vienna Sales Convention (CISG). The place of performance and exclusive place of jurisdiction is Zurich, unless a mandatory statutory place of jurisdiction takes precedence. For consumers, the places of jurisdiction under Art. 32 CPC (ZPO) are reserved.

What happens with enquiries and registrations?

Enquiries, registrations and waiting list entries reach us by email or via forms from Tally (Tally BV, Belgium). So that we know which offering your enquiry relates to, the website automatically passes the programme, cohort, dates, format, language and the page you came from to the form. We use this information to handle your request, deliver the offering you selected and, as described below, inform you about similar offerings.

What happens when you download a brochure or a funding guide?

For the download, we use a Tally form to ask for your first name, last name and email address as well as your consent to being contacted. We then redirect you to the file, which we provide via Google Drive (Google); in the process, Google receives your IP address and technical information. Your information goes to the GAT team. We use it to help you with questions about the programme and, within the scope of your consent, to inform you about programmes, info sessions and events.

How do we inform you and when do we contact you?

We send you information about programmes, info sessions, events, funding options and news from GAT by email if you have consented or if you have booked an offering with us and the information concerns similar offerings. If you have given us a telephone number and consented, we will call you or write to you by messenger to answer your questions. We also get in touch personally after enquiries, registrations and downloads.

We write to you in a targeted way, for example before info sessions or when new cohorts start. You can decline this at any time with a short reply to our email or a message to team [at] swiss-gat.ch; you can decline calls at any time. After you opt out, we keep your address on a suppression list so that we do not contact you again.

What applies to quotes, photos and the AI Business Expert Directory?

We publish quotes from Fellows with their name, position and optionally a photo, only with their consent. On course days and at events, we take photos and videos for documentation and communication purposes; you can object to this at any time. In the AI Business Expert Directory, we list the name, focus area, category and LinkedIn link of persons holding the SAQ personal certification AI Business Expert, only with their express consent. You apply for the entry via a Tally form. We do not publish your email address or the year of your exam. If you withdraw your consent by email, we will remove the entry within ten working days at the latest.

Where is the website hosted?

Our website is operated by the specialised hosting provider Netlify (Netlify, Inc., USA). When you access it, server log files containing your IP address and a timestamp are created. They serve the secure and stable operation of the website and are stored by the provider for a short period. Processing may take place outside Switzerland.

Which services are integrated?

  • Tally: forms for enquiries, registrations, waiting lists, downloads and the AI Business Expert Directory (Tally BV, Belgium, data stored in the EU).
  • Google Drive: provision of brochures and funding guides for download.
  • Luma: registration for info sessions and events via the GAT calendar (luma.com/gat) and the ISA event calendar (luma.com/innovationsverband). We receive your registration data and pass it on to co-organisers where necessary for running the event, for example to the Innovationsverband Schweizer Arbeitsmarkt (ISA).
  • Calendly: booking of phone appointments. Calendly’s terms apply in addition.
  • Google Fonts: the fonts Nunito and Raleway are loaded from Google. In the process, your IP address is transmitted to Google.
  • Course schedule as a calendar file: you can save the course schedule of a cohort as an .ics file. The file is created directly in your browser, and no data is transmitted to us.
  • Videos: we serve our own videos from our website. Links to YouTube open on YouTube, where Google’s terms apply.
  • WhatsApp (Meta): the group “Swiss Career & Tech News” and the cohort groups are voluntary. Your telephone number and profile name are visible to the administrators and, depending on your settings, to other members.
  • GAT campus (campus-gat.ch), Zoom and Google Workspace: learning platform, online sessions and collaboration in the programmes.
  • External links to LinkedIn, media and partners are subject to the terms of the respective providers.

How do we use artificial intelligence?

We use AI for research, drafts, translations and organisation as well as in the AI Business Simulation, AI Business Coaching, the AI Leader Companion and the Decision Arena, in particular with ATLASS. We use established providers that are contractually bound and do not use your input to train their models. We only enter personal data where necessary.

Decisions on admission, completions and acceptances are always made by a human. Results from the Decision Arena are reviewed by a GAT staff member. You can request that a person review an evaluation and present your point of view. Please do not enter personal data of third parties or confidential information of your employer into AI tools.

Do we use cookies?

No. We do not use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies on our website and therefore do not need a cookie banner. You can find details in the Cookie Policy.

To whom do we disclose data?

Only where necessary to: IT service providers working on our behalf, the Swiss Association for Quality (SAQ) for personal certifications, partner organisations such as ISA for verifying the partner price or for joint events, affiliated companies for administration and delivery, tour operators for Study Tours, Chapter Leads with your consent, our fiduciary, and authorities where required by law, for example RAV and unemployment insurance funds. We do not sell data.

Is data transferred abroad?

Some service providers are based in the EU or the USA, for example Netlify, Tally, Luma, Calendly, Zoom and Google. For certified US providers, the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework applies, which the Federal Council has recognised as adequate since 15 September 2024. Otherwise, we rely on the EU standard contractual clauses recognised by the FDPIC or on an exception under Art. 17 FADP (DSG), such as the performance of a contract with you. For Study Tours and Global Chapters, disclosure to the destination countries may be necessary, for example to the United Kingdom, the USA, Singapore, Vietnam or China.

How long do we keep data?

What rights do you have?

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection and withdrawal of consent. Write to us at team [at] swiss-gat.ch. We may request proof of identity. You can also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Bern and, where the GDPR applies, with the supervisory authority at your place of residence.

How do we protect your data?

Among other measures, we use HTTPS, role-based access and two-factor authentication for key accounts, and we select service providers carefully. No one can guarantee absolute security for transmission over the internet.
